Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 April 2026

1. Who We Are

Fynora ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Fynora platform — a secure client portal and practice management tool for financial advisors. References to "you" or "your" mean either an advisor or a client using the platform.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at help@fynora.app.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account details — full name, email address, phone number
  • Profile information — date of birth, residential address, post code, marital status, residency status
  • Financial identifiers — tax file number (TFN), bank account details (BSB, account number, account name)
  • Documents you upload — tax returns, payslips, identity documents, and any other files shared through the platform
  • Messages exchanged between advisors and clients within the platform
  • Billing information — processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, timestamps
  • Device data — browser type, operating system, IP address
  • Cookies and local storage — used for authentication sessions and preferences

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Fynora platform
  • To authenticate users and maintain secure sessions
  • To send transactional emails — invitations, notifications, invoices
  • To process payments and manage billing via Stripe
  • To enable secure document exchange between advisors and clients
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. End-to-End Encryption

Messages and certain documents exchanged between advisors and clients are protected with end-to-end encryption (ECDH P-256 + AES-GCM). This means only the parties in a conversation can read the content — Fynora cannot decrypt it.

Encryption keys are derived from your device and are never transmitted to our servers in plaintext. An encrypted backup of your key is stored in your account to support account recovery.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in EU region by default)
  • Stripe — payment processing (governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy)
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • AWS / Amazon CloudFront — content delivery and hosting

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and is contractually bound to protect your data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as required to provide services. When an account is deleted, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records).

Uploaded documents are deleted from storage when removed from the platform by you or your advisor.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact help@fynora.app. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, row-level security in our database, and end-to-end encryption for messages and documents. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

9. Children

The Fynora platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
